Why do we do it always in the same way?...

For many years, poems have been the way which people have used to express themselves. Especially when people want to express love, but why love’s poems do it always in the same way?
In the case of “My Serenade” we can see clearly an example of the most common way to make a love poem. Comparison is a figure of speech that we always use to make a simple poem. It does that the poem be repetitive, and maybe it doesn’t allow to show all the feelings that the writer wanted to express. It doesn’t mean that comparison is a bad resource to make love poems, but why don’t we use another way to write our feelings? We are always saying “you are like…” or “your eyes are like…”, but love is a feeling that you can express in too many ways. Poems are an excellent way to do it, because, when you are in love, your head is full of thoughts which you can translate in a beautiful poem.

On the other hand, comparison is a useful tool to explain the unexplainable beauty that the lover sees in the loved person. In the next appointment we can see how useful comparison is:
“Your voice is like an ocean, where I never want to find the shore”. Is there something prettier than the ocean? Can a voice be prettier than the ocean? For the lover, it is.

Comparison always will be the best way to write a love poem, and the one that will show that there isn’t anything in the world more beautiful than the loved person. Nevertheless we don’t have to forget that there are more ways to express ourselves. Just close your eyes, and write it!

My Serenade

Your heart is like an island
I wish to have discovered before
Your voice is like an ocean
Where I never want to find the shore

Your heart beat is the music
That soothes me to sleep
Your bright smile in the memories
I will forever keep

Your breaths are like a breeze
Spreading love all around
Your dreams could embrace the sky
Without lifting a foot from the ground

Your strength embraces me
Like a majestic mountaintop
You're quietly in the distance
Pure love lifting me up

Your eyes are deep enough
To look in, till the end of eternity
Your faith is strong enough
To shine on the world's beauty

Your laughter is my serenade
Brings me smiles when I grieve
You're my trusted tree of life
To whom I'll always cleave

Do You Know Who I Am?

Hi guys!
I'm Javier...
Yes! The one who is always wearing black T-shirts with the name of a band written in it...
Well, I'm twenty... I like to listen to music, and do all the stuff that everyone love to do...
I love Eat junk food, drink a couple of beers with my friends , lie in bed until 1 P.M on weekeds, play the guitar, I love cloudy and rainy days, and stuff like that...
And I love English... yes, centainly I love It!

On the other hand, there are things that I hate...
For Example:
- I hate to give my seat to the elders in the bus.
- I hate the cats fighting in the roof of my house at 4 A.M.
- I hate "mechones" asking for money everywhere.
- I hate when my mother asks me to go to buy something.
- I hate when I go out with some friends and the night is cold and I don't have anything to wrap up my self.

Among other things....

There are things which I'm afraid...
For example:
- I'm afraid of quakes.
- I'm afraid of strong wind.
- I'm afraid of Santa claus.
- I'm afraid of clowns.
- I'm afraid of be hit by a soccer ball when I'm playing soccer.
- I'm afraid to my mom when she gets angry with me.

Among another things...

Well, What else could I write about myself?
mmm... I live with my mom, my father is living in heaven and my brothers got married too much time ago... I'm the youngest son of my mother... I'm her baby!... hahaha!

Ok, That's all... I really don't know what else I can write about me... If you want to know something else... just write me back!

Good bye guys! :D
